This article will inform you of new updates to the Celayix platform in September 2023.
In this article, we'll look into the following updates to your Celayix platform in September 2023:
Custom columns in Time Processing
You can now customize your own columns for exports in Time Processing.
Note: Custom columns can only be added for layout filters you've cloned. You cannot add them for Celayix created layout filters.
To create a custom column, click the settings cog next to your Grid view layout filter.
Once inside, head to the Grid columns section and you'll see the option to Create custom column.
You can name your column header in the Custom header section.
Currently, you can only choose Fixed text value/blank for the Fixed Column value type.
You can then choose whether to fill out a Value of leave it blank.
It will then appear at the bottom of your Grid columns section. You can move this using the arrows or freeze it using the pin on the right-edge of the block.
You can see the difference between a fixed text column and a blank column, below.
Check-in and Check-out sources
You can now use Check-in and Check-out source columns in Time Processing to track which user and which platform made check-ins and check-outs for every shift.
Note: These columns will only track shifts from 09/27/2023 onwards.
The columns are:
Check-in source
Check-in user
Check-out source
Check-out user
The Check-in source and Check-out source columns are used to show whether it was Team Xpress, Schedule Xpress or Time Xpress where the clock was made.
The Check-in user and Check-out user will show the account that made the clock.
If it was an employee who did it, it will show with the employee ID number. If it was a user (admin), then it will show with the username of the account.
Scan barcode for Fast check in/out in Time Xpress
In addition to the new Fast check in/out feature in Time Xpress, you can now scan a barcode to check an employee in and out of their shift.
This can be used on mobile phone (Android or IOS) or desktop.
The first step you'll need to take is to generate barcodes for all employee ID numbers. This can be done online at any website that allows you to generate and save barcodes.
Note: The barcodes must match the employee ID numbers to work.
See an example of a barcode for employee ID number 4.
We're going to use a shift for employee ID 4 as an example.
You'll first need to click Fast check in/out.
Note: You can do this for multiple shifts at once if you have the correct barcodes for the employee ID numbers.
After you pass the default section and press Save, you'll then see the option to Scan barcode to enter employee.
When you press Scan barcode to enter employee, your mobile phone or desktop will ask you to use your camera. You may need to give permission for this if you haven't already.
Ensure you have your barcode(s) ready and then use your phone or desktop camera to capture it.
If successful, the employee's name will appear in the Employee name section of the form.
Note: If it isn't successful, please ensure that the barcode is clear and isn't too bright. Alternatively, you can type the employee ID number to find the shift.
You can then choose to Check in/Check out.
