Geofencing is a tracking tool that can be used inside your Schedule Xpress to coordinate and monitor your workforce based on site location.
It is utilized through applying a geofence boundary and ensures that the employee is within this boundary in order to check in. If the employee attempts to check in, they will not be able to check-in unless settings permit them to do so. Essentially, this tool will prevent time fraud within your company.
This article will cover the following steps Geofencing and live map view in Schedule Xpress:

The benefits of Geofencing and live map view
The Geofencing and live map view can be hugely beneficial. Here's some of the ways they will simplify and improve your scheduling:
Improved time and attendance tracking
Accurate payroll and billing
Less time managing employees
Let's look at how you can access Geofencing in your Schedule Xpress.
Accessing your Geofencing
Inside the site, click the Geofencing tab.
Let's explore the Geofencing setup.
To find your geolocation coordinates, you must fill out the Contact section of the site. You'll need to fill out the address and ensure it is exact.
To populate the geolocation coordinates, press the refresh arrows. You'll now see a red placemark which should represent the exact location of your site.
GPS tracking needs to be turned to Yes in order to create a geofence for your site. Once you toggle this option to Yes, you'll be able to set your radius.
You'll notice that a geofence will now appear around the site.
For a small to medium site, we recommend a minimum of 150 feet. For larger sites, you can zoom in on the site and make your own judgement.
Static IP address
Static IP address can be turned on if one or more IP addresses is required for clock actions. You can separate the IP addresses with a comma.
Contact support if you have a query about this.
Registered phone numbers
Registered phone numbers is used for the purpose of registering the phone numbers of employees who use Voice Xpress to clock in and out of shifts.
If you toggle this setting to Yes, you'll need ensure that any employees who need to clock in at this site have their phone number registered in this section.
Note: If you do not turn this option to Yes, then any phone number can use Voice Xpress to clock in at the given site.
Geofencing verification has two options that will define whether want to block any employee from checking-in outside of the geofence radius, or allow them to acknowledge that they've been given permission to check-in from outside of it. The two options are:
Don't allow employees to perform clock actions outside of the geofence
Allow employees to perform clock actions outside of the geofence
If you select Don't allow employees to perform clock actions outside of the geofence, then anyone who attempts to perform an action outside of the geofence will be blocked from doing so. If you want to receive notifications when anyone attempts to perform an action outside of the geofence, then you can set this up in your eClock alerts.
If you select Allow employees to perform clock actions outside of the geofence, then it's important to know that employees CAN still perform action outside of the geofence. The employee will be notified that they are not within the geofence, however, they can confirm that they've been authorized to perform the action and continue. See image below.
Accessing your live map view
Live map view is located in Time Xpress. It is an informative view which displays all shifts in their current live state. This is a useful way of monitoring the real-time situation with any given shift(s).
You can access Map view by clicking Map in the top-right corner of Time Xpress.
The Map view is a geographical representation of where the shifts are located as per the date you've chosen to show.
A placemark will be displayed at each location and the number will correspond to how many shifts are scheduled there.
A grey placemark indicates that no actions are required with any of the shifts at that location.
Note: The map will auto-refresh.
You can click on the placemark for additional information on the shift(s).
A red placemark indicates that there is an issue with one or more of the shifts and an action is required. To view the issue, click on the placemark and a window will appear and one or more of the labels will be red. Click on the label and the employees that are affected will be displayed.
