The Celayix Assistant is an intelligent, conversational tool built to streamline workforce scheduling within Schedule Xpress.

The Assistant is designed to quickly respond to user queries, making schedule management faster and more efficient for managers and staff.

The Celayix Assistant is available directly within Schedule Xpress to help you quickly find information and complete scheduling tasks. To open it, click the Ask button (marked with a star icon) located at the top-right corner of the screen.

Users can use the Celayix Assistant to type in their questions or select from a list of suggested prompts. Some of the helpful tasks it can perform include:

By integrating AI into the platform, Celayix empowers users to handle scheduling tasks in a more intuitive and conversational way - saving time and reducing manual effort.

You can quickly create open shifts in Schedule Xpress using the Celayix Assistant. Simply click the Ask button at the top-right corner and type a prompt like “Create an open shift” or select it from the suggested options.

The Assistant will guide you through entering key shift details such as date, time, location, and role. This makes it easy to generate open shifts on the fly—without navigating through the shift panel—saving you time and streamlining the scheduling process.

After entering the required shift details, click Create Shifts to finalize.

Note: You can also create assigned shifts for an employee by entering their name or employee ID as part of the shift details.

When you click Create Shifts, the shifts will be created in draft mode. You’ll still need to click the Save (disk icon) to finalize them.

You can use the Celayix Assistant to submit a request for creating multiple open shifts. Just make sure to include all the required information, as shown in the example below.

If you're satisfied with the shifts the Celayix Assistant intends to create, click Create Shifts, then click the save icon to finalize.

The Celayix Assistant is currently in beta and available free of charge, with no limits on how many questions you can ask.

Once the beta period ends, the Assistant will become a paid feature. To support continued access, each customer will automatically receive $10 in monthly credit, which typically covers around 50 average questions—at no cost to you.

The cost per interaction will vary depending on the complexity of the question. Importantly, there will be no surprise charges. You will only be billed if you (or your administrator) explicitly set a billing limit for additional usage beyond the included credit.
