We are excited to share the latest updates to the Celayix platform, rolled out in September 2025. These updates are designed to improve functionality, enhance user experience, and ensure smoother workflows. Below, you'll find the details of the newest features and improvements.

Chat Feature Enhancements

The Celayix development team has been working on enhancing the user interface (UI) and notification system to ensure smoother, more streamlined communication between administrators and employees.

Note: The chat feature will be further enhanced in the coming month to include group chats and shift-related communications.

Creating a chat in Schedule Xpress or Team Xpress

To start a chat, click the plus (+) icon and select the employee you want to communicate with.

You can choose to chat with either an employee or a manager by toggling between the two options.

To start a chat, click on the name of the employee or manager, then tap Done in the top right corner.

You can type your message in the chat box and send it by pressing the upward-facing arrow.

When a chat message is delivered, it will show one check mark.

Pop-up Notifications for Chat in Team Xpress

We’re excited to announce that employees will now receive pop-up notifications from the chat feature directly on their lock screens, ensuring they never miss an important message.

Please Note: To take advantage of this new feature, their Team Xpress app must be updated to the latest version.

Chat Permissions for Employees

Admins can now decide if employees can initiate chats with managers and/or other employees via employee access group settings in Schedule Xpress.

Even if initiation is disabled, employees can still read and reply to chats started by managers, provided they have chat access.

Accessibility to API Key and Documentation in Schedule Xpress

If you have an integration with Celayix—or plan to—you can now easily access your API key and API documentation directly within Schedule Xpress.

Here, you'll find:

  • Your API key.

  • A link to Celayix's Postman collection, which includes all the documentation you need to start using the Celayix API effectively.

In the Organization settings, you have easy access to your API key and Celayix API documentation

Team Xpress Build Version Enforcement

If a user is not using the correct or authorized version of the Team Xpress app, the following will occur:

  • An error message will be displayed for a few seconds.

  • The user will then be redirected back to the login page.

This approach ensures users are clearly notified while effectively preventing access from unsupported or outdated builds.

Bug Fixes and Improvements: September 2025

We’ve made important updates to improve the user experience. Below are the notable bug fixes and improvements applied in September 2025:

Shift Tag Visibility: Resolved an issue where Shift Tags were only visible in the Shift Panel to the user who assigned them in Schedule or Time Processing.

Chat Employee List Visibility: Fixed an issue where the employee list was not visible in Team Xpress when the feature allowing employees to communicate with each other was enabled, despite the system property being set to YES.
