As an employee, Voice Xpress gives you the opportunity to check in and out of shifts by calling a cell phone number, as opposed to using a check in and out slider in the Team Xpress app.
Although Voice Xpress isn't part of the Team Xpress app, it is still an important component of it.
In this article, we'll look at the following in how you can use a Voice Xpress number:
Using Voice Xpress
What is a Voice Xpress number?
A Voice Xpress number gives you an alternate method of any of the following clocking methods:
Clocking in/out of shifts
Starting and ending breaks
Performing safety checks
Note: If you're checking in and out on your Team Xpress app, then you don't need to worry about using Voice Xpress.
Why would you use Voice Xpress?
Using Voice Xpress to clock in and out of shifts is beneficial if you:
Don't have a cell phone that has data for Team Xpress app use
Don't have cell data/coverage at a particular site, but there is an on-premise phone that can be used for check in and out
Don't have a cell phone that has the capability to download the Team Xpress app
If any of the above apply to you, then you may require Voice Xpress for clocking in and out of shifts.
We encourage that you contact your supervisor if you aren't able to access the Celayix Team Xpress app.
How do you use Voice Xpress?
If you'll be using Voice Xpress to check in and out of shifts, then the following steps will be useful for you to understand exactly how it will operate. You can dial the Voice Xpress number to listen to your upcoming schedule, as well as clocking in and out of shifts.
Note: Your supervisor will provide you with a Voice Xpress ID and password which is required for signing in. If you're looking to check in to a shift using Voice Xpress, and haven't yet received it, then please contact your supervisor immediately.
Let's look at the steps you'll take for checking in and out:
Dial the Voice Xpress number that you've been given by your supervisor.
You'll first be asked which language you'll want to listen to Voice Xpress in. Press 1 for English, 2 for French, or 3 for Spanish.
You'll then be asked to type your Voice Xpress ID number + the number hash (#). Directly after, you'll be asked to type in your Voice Xpress account password + the number hash (#).
If you have an upcoming shift on the current date, you'll be informed of the shift information. If you're able to check in at the current time you're calling, you'll be offered to check in by pressing 1. Or alternatively, you can listen to your schedule by pressing 9.
When you next dial the Voice Xpress number, you'll then be asked if you want to check out by pressing 2, start break by pressing 3, perform a safety check by pressing 5, or listen to your schedule by pressing 9. Note, if you start a break, you should dial again at the end of your break to record an end break time.
Once check out is complete, it will be recorded in your company database.
If you need help or you don't feel like your shift recorded accurate check in and out times, please contact your supervisor.
