Bug fixes
Collapsible shift grouping in Schedule Xpress
A new feature has been added to ensure you can collapse shifts based on your table header grouping and row header grouping configurations.
This improved layout is designed to minimize the number of shifts you need to scroll through on screen.
Note: This is only for timeline view.
Navigate to your Selected layout display options to turn the Collapse shifts in rows to expandable groups on by checkmarking the box.
Once the feature is turned on, we'd recommend you click inside your layout filter to determine how your table header and row header grouping is set. See below images.
Once you've determined your groupings, you'll understand the way the schedule groups the shifts.
See the example below. The shifts are grouped by employee.
You can click on any collapsed shift block to expand it.
If you want to adjust a single shift under a shift grouping, you can double-tap the shift and edit it in the shift panel on the right side.
If you want to adjust ALL of the shifts under a shift grouping, you can click the 3 dots in the top right corner of the shift block and choose between:
Edit
Cut
Copy
Delete
Repeat
This will allow you to bulk update the shifts in the highlighted shift group.
If at least one shift is currently in edit mode, a hashed background will be shown at group level to indicate the presence of unsaved shifts in the group.
View schedule in Requests (Time off)
The schedule view options in your Requests module enables you to see the schedule of an individual employee or the schedules of all your employees at once.
This addition allows users to view their schedules before accepting any time off requests, helping to prevent oversights.
View *Employee Name's* Schedule
When you click 'View *Employee Name's* Schedule', a new tab will open, displaying their schedule for the date(s) specified in the time off request.
The example below shows the schedule for Chris Smith during the period of a Paid Time Off request from November 21st to November 22nd. This helps the user see that Chris is scheduled to work on one of those two days, which may influence their decision to approve the request.
View All Employees Schedule
When you click 'View All Employees Schedule', a new tab will open, displaying the entire schedule for the date(s) specified in the time off request.
This can assist users in determining whether they have adequate coverage if they choose to approve the request.
Employee ID and reference fields in Requests (Time off)
We’ve added employee ID and employee reference field columns to the Requests grid for better visibility. This enhancement was made in response to user feedback highlighting its importance when reviewing requests.
To add these columns to your grid, click the 3 dots in the top right corner and select them.
