# Set Maximum Hours for Sites

Learn how to configure Maximum Hours for Sites in Schedule Xpress to help manage scheduling limits and workforce requirements.

The **Maximum Hours** feature allows organizations to define the maximum number of scheduled hours permitted for a Site within a specific time period. These limits help organizations control staffing levels and prevent Sites from being scheduled beyond operational requirements.

## Find Maximum Hours

**Maximum Hours** can be configured within the Site profile under:

**Manage Sites → Select Site → Max Hours**

## Use Maximum Hours

The **Max Hours** section allows Users to configure scheduling limits for Sites based on operational requirements.

**Maximum Hours** can be configured for:

-   Daily hours
-   Weekly hours
-   Monthly hours

These limits are used by the scheduling system to monitor total scheduled hours at a Site during schedule creation.

## Configure Maximum Hours

To configure **Maximum Hours** for a Site:

1.  Open the Site profile
2.  Navigate to the **Max Hours** section
3.  Choose **Daily**, **Weekly**, or **Monthly** Maximum Hours
4.  Enter the required hour limits
5.  Add the **Effective Date**
6.  Click **Save**

Once configured, the limits will apply during scheduling workflows.

## Validations for Maximum Hours

When a Site is scheduled beyond its configured **Maximum Hours**, Schedule Xpress will generate a validation as either a warning or an error, depending on system configuration.
